The IPCC Stockholm Conference 2013 warns again of rising sea levels, an impact of climate change on the oceans. Climate change is already threatening especially the most beautiful marine life of the earth. Human influence on the climate system is clear. This is evident in most regions of the globe, as the new assessment by the IPCC concludes. Steps to avoid CO2 are possible in everyday life of all of us. We show such a step for the film production.
A lot has been said about 4K in the last weeks. Now it’s time to show & view! So for our latest video, we selected some 4K aerials from around the United States – they take you from the National Parks to big cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles and Chicago. Sit down, relax and enjoy the flight! (But even though the view out of the window will be very authentic, we’re sorry that you have to look after the drinks yourself…)
Please note: For some good reasons, our YouTube video can be only displayed in Full HD. Today, only few displays are able to show the full 4K resolution. Furthermore, most internet connections are too slow and YouTube’s support for 4K videos is not quite clear yet. But nevertheless, 4K offers great advantages even at the present time: Images are sharper and contain a wider range of colors than traditional HD pictures. Scaling 4K material down to 1080p leads to much better results than filming directly in HD.
To prove this fact, our video might not be enough of evidence for you – then please just visit our stock footage shop and search for RED and Digital Cinema 4K footage. As already announced last week, you will be able to find 4K footage even easier and download it even faster in the very near future!
It almost seems like in the old days that “High Definition” could cause great astonishment. Actually it has become a standard format for us within the last years. So now that the HD hype is over, everybody talks about 4K. But we’re not only talking of course… Within the last weeks we upgraded our storage capacities quite enormously. With the step from LTO-4 to LTO-6, the possible data volume tripled from 800 GB to 2.5 TB per tape. This goes along with a significant increase of the reading-speed and an acceleration of delivery times – so from now on we can serve our growing customer base even better and faster. And, of course, we are perfectly prepared for the enormous amounts of 4K data! Within several weeks, it will be possible to order 4K shots for playout directly via our online store. But already now, you can choose between more than 10,000 stock footage clips in 4K – ranging from animals on green screen or in the wild through cities at night to underwater footage. And everyday they are getting more… Have a look at the amazing quality yourself! In any case, we are really proud of paving the way for the 4K content revolution 😉
While LG is shocking their job candidates with ultra-realistic 4K TV screens, we’re already looking forward to receiving a lot of exciting 4K footage in the future. This weekend we’re going to enhance our storage capacities to make us ready for the 4K revolution – and don’t worry, our content department is extremely courageous… More to follow soon!
Our series of Bavarian Summer aerials selected from the Framepool stock footage collection would be nothing without a flight over Munich! In this 90 seconds trip you will quickly understand why we love the Bavarian capital so much – and maybe become a fan yourself?
Do you like beer? And do you like singing? Then you will certainly love the Munich Oktoberfest – which even let’s you dance on a bench on top. And you are not alone: Each year, more than 6 million people visit the world’s biggest fair – being attracted by its large tents, oversized beer steins and Bavarian food, modern and iconic carrousels and (more or less) traditional Bavarian costumes.
As you can see in our clip from the 1960ies, not so much has changed since then… And like our parents, we are looking forward to end of September, when the Oktoberfest starts with the well known “Ozapft is!”
Apropos the Sixties: We are not only offering historical clips around the Oktoberfest, but around almost all important events during 1960 to 1969!
Have you ever been to Neuschwanstein Castle? If so, what do you remember the most? The great architecture, the lovely surroundings – or the vast amount of tourists from all over the world? If you think of the latter in the first place, then our new video is for you: We take you onto a flight over one of the most popular and beautiful places in the world. You have enough time to enjoy, nobody will jostle against you, there’s no need to buy any entry ticket or wait up to five hours in a queue. Like this, sight-seeing becomes a pure pleasure…
Aloha! Our new trailer celebrates the accession of Hawaii as 50th state to the US on August 21th 1959. It’s also an homage to one of the most popular holiday regions in the world – just relax and enjoy the beauty of the nature…
On August 15th 1961, East German soldier Conrad Schumann was the first to flee from the GDR – during the construction of the Berlin Wall. The photograph showing his jump over the barbwire is one of the most famous and widely known pictures of the cold war.
Join us for a flight over one of the most popular holiday locations in Europe: Bavaria. Certainly you already have some associations connected with the Southern part of Germany: Big lakes and mountains, nice little villages, a lot of cows and popular traditions. And yes, most of this is true 😉 But we will show you this lovely region from another perspective…
